Absentee Ballot by Mail (ABBM) or Federal Post Card Applications (FPCA) must be applied for annually. You may call our office at 361-595-8548 to request an application to be mailed to you or you may download the forms below.
Effective December 1, 2017 if an ABBM is faxed or emailed or if an FPCA is faxed, the applicant must submit the ORIGINAL application BY MAIL to the early voting clerk within 4 business days before a ballot can be mailed to you. This does not apply to an emailed FPCA.
Effective December 1, 2021 Senate Bill 1 requires all mail voters to provide their Driver's License or Identification Card or their last four number of their Social Security on the application for a ballot by mail. If you do not have one, you can check the box with that statement on the application.
Effective September 1, 2021 an application to be voted by mail may submit the application by delivering it in person to the early voting clerk if the application is submitted not later than the deadline provided.
Each Election has it's deadline for receiving a ballot by mail.
May 7th Joint Election - deadline is April 26, 2022
May 24th Primary Runoff Election - deadline is May 13, 2022
June 14th Special Election - deadline is to be determined

*65 years of age or older
*Disability (as defined in Texas Election Code 82.002 (a))
*Expected to give birth within three weeks before or after Election Day
*Expected absence from the county
*Confinement in jail
